AIMSSEC, with partners in UK, Ireland, Norway, Holland, Germany, France and Italy, is to research ways to help low achieving learners to be more successful in school mathematics with funding from the EU Science in Society Programme.
In 2012 AIMSSEC was chosen from all of Africa to be awarded the UNESCO-Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers.
