Early applications are advised as there is a very long waiting list for this course. If you apply now AIMSSEC will invite you to take this course as soon as possible.

The MT course is intended for educators who want to be more effective in the classroom, who want to be efficient heads of department or who want to be successful subject advisors.  A learner-centred approach is at the core of the course to facilitate a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.  The South African Council for Educators (SACE) has endorsed the MT course with 15 professional development points on the successful completion of the course (Service Provider Number:  PR11011).

This is an intensive 10 day residential course where all the participants live in boarding school accommodation and work on mathematics together from breakfast time to bedtime.  Participants receive classroom materials designed for the South African curriculum. After the residential part of the course teachers work for three months on assignments trying to put into practice what they have learnt on the course.
